Database Administrators
These days it's rare to find a significant software application which is not backed by a relational database management system (RDBMS). Some RDBMS offerings are better than others, but application quality is at least as dependent on the skills of the database administrators and architects who use them. Among other things we evaluate our candidates in the following areas:

  • Data Modeling:
Entity Relationship Diagrams; Data Normalization; Data Flow Diagrams
  • Structured Query Language (SQL):
    ANSI/ISO standards; Triggers; Stored Procedures
  • Activities:
Database backup; Crash recovery; File system security; Repair and maintenance; Preventive maintenance; Performance tuning
